What is better Calisthenics or Weight Lifting?

In this article, I will argue for both sides of this topic and want to hear what you guys have to say about it as well.  I will lay out the benefits of why I believe each side is better and will not take one side over the other.

To start, let's talk about why Calisthenics is better.  Firstly, I want to describe what calisthenics is: it is pretty much bodyweight workouts requiring many compound movements.  Calisthenics is better because it requires little to no equipment and you can save a lot of money by doing this.  As well as that, this type of working out is so much better for weight loss compared to weight lifting.  Since calisthenics requires a lot more movement, it is much easier to burn fat and strengthen your muscles.  We are not all trying to look like bodybuilders and calisthenics will give us that cut physique that we are looking for.  Also, these movements are a lot more common in things like sports or physical activities so this will give us an edge if we are still competing in those.  So, calisthenics is better for weight loss, burning unwanted fat, and also giving you the best physique that will not be too bulky.

The other topic, weight lifting, is pretty self-explanatory.  I think everyone knows what I am talking about when I say this.  This type of workout will single out different muscles and is a much better way of growing stronger.  As well as this, you will also be able to see improvement in everyday life.  You will be able to lift things easier, and also for athletes, you need to be strong in order to excel in your sport.  Weight lifting is also a great way to burn unwanted calories and will also burn fat.  As well as this, with weight lifting, you will grow bigger.   So weight lifting is better because of the strength you gain from it and also you will gain mass in your body while burning fat.

When should I do cardio?

One thing that I have never agreed with when it comes to the fitness "experts" is when you should do your cardio workout.  Many of them say that you should do your strength or weight training and then perform your cardio workout.  However, I have done both cardio before weights and cardio after weights and I feel that one is a lot better than the other.  I am easily on the side of waking up in the morning going outside and getting a nice jog in.  I noticed when I performed cardio first, that I felt more energized during my strength training and I also felt more awake.  If I just started doing strength training, I felt myself being tired and losing focus easily.  As well as that, when I performed my cardio first, I thought of it as a way to stretch out my entire body.  It loosens you up and you will feel a lot more ready for whatever else you have planned for the day.   So basically, I am saying that I completely disagree with the people...

My story about Exercising Again and How I overcome the difficulties in front of me

This post is going to be a little bit different and tell the story of what happened to me and why I started to exercise.  I hope my story will push you to work out or show you how it is possible to lose weight. I think it is important to mention that in High School, I was always playing sports or working out so when Covid first hit I did not know what to do.  I was in college and was liked in our apartment with nothing to do.  So what do all college kids do?  We were playing video games all day and then on the weekends would start to drink.  These two things do not go well with each other when you are not having any sort of physical activity.  So, this was on for a few months, and I hadn't noticed any change until I stepped on the scale.  This was the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I was in really good shape at one point and was very muscular.  So I knew I had to do something about this.  Two things really motivated me to work...

Personal Interview with a Role Model For Me

I think that most of the time we do not look at our friends as role models or someone to look up to, but rather as peers or equals.  However, this is different for me with one of my friends who I asked a few questions.  This is the guy that got me started on my workout journey and is even more dedicated than me and knows about every ingredient of every food that he puts into his body.  So for this blog, I am interviewing my friend Nick. The first question that I asked was, "Do you have any tips for people that are trying to get into working out?" Nick answered, " I tried to have someone go with me at first.  It was hard to have the motivation every day to get up and go do something so I defiantly recommend having someone to do it with.  Another thing was just figuring out what worked for me.  I am the type of person that really enjoyed getting up early and that way I could be done for the day.  At first, I couldn't lift heavy weights or run 2 miles but...
