What is better Calisthenics or Weight Lifting?

In this article, I will argue for both sides of this topic and want to hear what you guys have to say about it as well.  I will lay out the benefits of why I believe each side is better and will not take one side over the other. To start, let's talk about why Calisthenics is better.  Firstly, I want to describe what calisthenics is: it is pretty much bodyweight workouts requiring many compound movements.  Calisthenics is better because it requires little to no equipment and you can save a lot of money by doing this.  As well as that, this type of working out is so much better for weight loss compared to weight lifting.  Since calisthenics requires a lot more movement, it is much easier to burn fat and strengthen your muscles.  We are not all trying to look like bodybuilders and calisthenics will give us that cut physique that we are looking for.  Also, these movements are a lot more common in things like sports or physical activities so this will...

Personal Interview with a Role Model For Me

I think that most of the time we do not look at our friends as role models or someone to look up to, but rather as peers or equals.  However, this is different for me with one of my friends who I asked a few questions.  This is the guy that got me started on my workout journey and is even more dedicated than me and knows about every ingredient of every food that he puts into his body.  So for this blog, I am interviewing my friend Nick. Nick answered, " I tried to have someone go with me at first.  It was hard to have the motivation every day to get up and go do something so I defiantly recommend having someone to do it with.  Another thing was just figuring out what worked for me.  I am the type of person that really enjoyed getting up early and that way I could be done for the day.  At first, I couldn't lift heavy weights or run 2 miles but...

About Muscleman

Hello, I am Muscleman and I am writing this blog to help people get started on their fitness journey.  I am a 21-year-old college student.  I am writing this blog because I know that going to a public gym can be daunting for the first time and many people want to work out in the privacy of their own homes.  Also, you might just have no idea where to start.  I would spend hours searching and reading tons of different articles and still feel like I didn't know where to start.  So this blog will be the place where you can get all that information in one place.  Whether you need to find out about a workout plan, or just some exercises or workouts to get you started.  I plan to cover everything from what time I felt was most beneficial for me to work out to different types of exercises that worked for me.  This is my first time writing a blog so it might not be the best at the start but I am willing to listen to any suggestions.  I just like...
