Problems with Cheap Jump Ropes

I think one workout that oftentimes gets overlooked is jumping rope.  There is a reason if you have ever seen a boxer training, this is part of their workout regime.  However, a good jump rope is hard to find.  I have searched amazon for plenty of jump ropes, but I have not found any that have not broken after a few weeks for a reasonable price.  Yes, you can buy one of the jump ropes that cost $100 and they will work perfectly, but not all of us have a budget like that.  However, the worst jump rope that I have found is on amazon and it is here.  This might have been the worst purchase of my life.  In the first few days of using this, the cable started to break at the bottom, and then the next thing I know the grip was falling off as well.  As well as this, the length you try to keep this jump rope at does not stay there and the screw on top broke for me within a week or two.

I see something like this as a huge problem because if there are no good jump ropes for a reasonable price, that is a huge predicament.  The next thing I want to talk about is how all the jump ropes I have used made of PVC material all do the same thing.  They all start to break on the bottom where it is hitting the ground.  So, if I cannot use a jump rope made of this material outside, where am I supposed to use it.  These cheap jump ropes are made of cheap materials and they all show it quickly.  If you want to have a good jump rope be prepared to spend a good amount of money.

When should I do cardio?

One thing that I have never agreed with when it comes to the fitness "experts" is when you should do your cardio workout.  Many of them say that you should do your strength or weight training and then perform your cardio workout.  However, I have done both cardio before weights and cardio after weights and I feel that one is a lot better than the other.  I am easily on the side of waking up in the morning going outside and getting a nice jog in.  I noticed when I performed cardio first, that I felt more energized during my strength training and I also felt more awake.  If I just started doing strength training, I felt myself being tired and losing focus easily.  As well as that, when I performed my cardio first, I thought of it as a way to stretch out my entire body.  It loosens you up and you will feel a lot more ready for whatever else you have planned for the day.   So basically, I am saying that I completely disagree with the people...

My story about Exercising Again and How I overcome the difficulties in front of me

This post is going to be a little bit different and tell the story of what happened to me and why I started to exercise.  I hope my story will push you to work out or show you how it is possible to lose weight. I think it is important to mention that in High School, I was always playing sports or working out so when Covid first hit I did not know what to do.  I was in college and was liked in our apartment with nothing to do.  So what do all college kids do?  We were playing video games all day and then on the weekends would start to drink.  These two things do not go well with each other when you are not having any sort of physical activity.  So, this was on for a few months, and I hadn't noticed any change until I stepped on the scale.  This was the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I was in really good shape at one point and was very muscular.  So I knew I had to do something about this.  Two things really motivated me to work...

Personal Interview with a Role Model For Me

I think that most of the time we do not look at our friends as role models or someone to look up to, but rather as peers or equals.  However, this is different for me with one of my friends who I asked a few questions.  This is the guy that got me started on my workout journey and is even more dedicated than me and knows about every ingredient of every food that he puts into his body.  So for this blog, I am interviewing my friend Nick. The first question that I asked was, "Do you have any tips for people that are trying to get into working out?" Nick answered, " I tried to have someone go with me at first.  It was hard to have the motivation every day to get up and go do something so I defiantly recommend having someone to do it with.  Another thing was just figuring out what worked for me.  I am the type of person that really enjoyed getting up early and that way I could be done for the day.  At first, I couldn't lift heavy weights or run 2 miles but...
